Vote on Biden Executive Orders
Executive orders by Mr. Biden should be voted on by the public. Voting on them would be easy to do on the internet, supplemented, of course, with in-person and mail.
Publish a proposed list with their characteristics, benefits, costs or savings, who would be most affected and least, how long they would be in effect and how consequences would be reported.
Provide ways for public comment and share those publicly, anonymous okay but up to the commenter.
Tally the votes as they come in with a cut off schedule, how long for evaluating, revising and implementation. Stages would be outlined.
The positive value of public participation is to show a responsive presidency rather than the current method of the president doing what he/she/them want.
It would at best curtail the abuse of executive orders, allow debate about them, restore some of the power of We the People promised by the US Constitution which has been gradually, and sometimes abruptly, reduced by centralizing a top down government of three branches, and bureaucracy, not exactly eager to obey those they ostensibly work for.
Not the time to take an electoral assay at that humongous bureaucracy which cloaks what the top downers command. But sooner rather than later.
Hmm, an executive order covering that option might be a pleasant exercise.
