Soulless EV Fossils
There’s One Big Problem With Electric Cars

Last car owned in NYC, a station wagon, fossil-fueled, for 4 years sat in a garage unused, battery dying, bashed by active moves, occasionally driven to a nearby park where the driver sat reading, playing radio, charging the battery, feeling like a real American for a while, then back to subway, bus and walking, biking like a Manhattan abnormal. Sold it to the seller who exclaimed that mileage is phony but inspection of the near original machine showed it was accurate.
Had a baby killed in roll-over late at night, its mom fell asleep, a son mangled in a head-on not his fault, a father injured almost yearly in truck crashes, a sister badly injured DWI, car-harm events pretty muchly expected, bikers and pedestrians in NYC dying and injured in numbers like a mini-pandemic, outer-boros, Jersey and Connecticut and PA and FL drivers exceeding local safety laws as if royalty without fear of penalty.
Worldwide deaths by fossil guzzlers and spewers and don't overlook planes and ships and equipment, civilian and military, get far too little attention, as noted in this article, while disease and war get the headlines.
Hire cars and limos, taxis and motos, couture bloating carcass movers, parallel disabling bodies from too little exercise hardly sustained by Soul Cycle and celebrity gyms.
And don't ignore how EV batteries are charged by out of sight power plants, many like those in NYC fueled by fossils shipped in from Texas, Middle East, Norway, underseas. RIP, soulless drivers.
