Political Partisanship Needs to Go
The Twilight of the Anti-Trump Idols

Conflating politics with governance is a conundrum without easy answers, partisanship a particularly harmful influence on fulfilling the expectations of citizens for a commonweal that is fair and just.
Far too many politicians, perhaps without exception, view governance as less important than being elected and getting re-elected, without hesitating to exploit the power and resources of government to aid their political campaigns, complying with pernicious partisanship demands more than governing dispassionately. Corruption is inevitable under this tradition of divisiveness, but more significantly it fosters distrust of government and hinders public participation in elections, in compliance with laws and regulations, avoiding or cheating on tax payment, expecting benefits of partisanship against equitable sharing.
The role of media in highlighting and dramatizing partisan squabbling as alluring entertainment over less sensationalizing coverage of how government is doing to meet its obligations should not be acceptable to the citizenry for it prevents understanding and evaluation of governmental obligations, limitations, benefits and evolution in improvement.
As noted in social media and elsewhere far too much attention is given to political talk shows where partisanship is endemic, and far too little useful information is provided to consumers to assess what their various governments are doing.
Deception, lying, bias, prejudice, strutting, blaming, accusing needs to go.
