Institutional prejudice and injustice is deeply embedded in nearly all, likely all, so-called advanced nations in which wealth determines pleasurable privilege of a few over distressed hardship over the many.
Takes a tough attitude to admit this disparity, inequity, illegality and asymmetry is so prevalent and so normalized, embedded in social mores, education, religion, business, government, social practices.
Unless experienced in a lifetime, in generations, oppression by prejudicial superiority can hardly be perceived no matter the superficial coatings applied to explain it.
Arrogant condescension dementia is lifelong for the privileged, they have never known an alternative, it is their reality, ineradicable, irreversible, beyond understanding, just the way things are, to believe otherwise is to be categorized as insane, a rebel, a foreigner, an enemy, a terrorist, a criminal deserving punishment up to and including execution by legislative edict or by on the streets and landscapes by officially-sanctioned murderers, law enforcement and military.
In the US, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution with its manifold rights, provide the rationale for this "blind-justice" dominance, as envisioned by those who wrote the self-serving way of lives to be lived and the laws and rules to justify and maintain supremacy under guise of equality.
There is no greater threat to the US than to overturn the basis of its founding, so a breed of "for-us" patriotism is paramount.
