In Gilgo Beach Killings, an Arrest Bears Out a Decade-Old Prediction

Architect, New York
Now hold on, folks, this a NYC architect practicing for half a century in the Apple, commercial, pro bono, community service, university professor, DOB official, special inspector, computer wizard, the whole kaboodle, but not a serial killer in the tabloid sense.
But need to whisper that NYC architects are not angels, many are downright complicitly murderous with the kind of bloated and inhumane piles befouling the skys and streets and parks and rivers so beloved of the real estate industry and its political boot lickers.
Banks, mayors, builders, unions, investors, advertisers, promoters, racketeers, neighbors and others least suspected are part of this centuries-old rapacity of Manhatta and the outer boros and that long island and that jersey and that connecticut supplying the personnel and goods for this "exciting, greatest city in the world," as Robert DeNiro allegedly proclaims about his "real estate portfolio."
Check out the number of construction workers killed (murdered) on unsafe construction jobs due to lax enforcement by the DOB and frequent firings by builders of the Site Safety Managers. Been there, saw that, complained about it, got the boot.
Mr. Heuermann as architect sold services to expedite approvals by city agencies, a unique NYC grifting to oil the process of shallow review and sign-off on extremely expensive buildings to get them sold and occupied by absentee investors benefiting from tax write-offs baked into DNA-pointing pizzas dumped in the trash.
Hey John I knew this story would just blow you away....yikes, didn't know if you knew him or not as well even in the city it was /is somewhat of a small community. Anyway, hope all has been well, I've went by different handles over the years like everyone..... Be Well!
