NYC Oink, Oink, Oink
With Cuomo Gone, Hochul Revises Plan for Penn Station

Look, now, the pandemic has shown NYC does not need to keep on being stupidly exploited by the gangsters of real estate, design and construction despite allowing the jobs underway to continue making a giant toxic mess and permitting the ravaging of sidewalks and streets with hazardous sheds.
Returning to the same old big deal projects would be a massive brain stroke, a restoration of irresponsibility lessons learned, might even argue another tear down of the glorious original Penn Station and lodging a humongous beer-sloshed mushroom stadium atop the forever miserable tracks below.
Far better would be a generation, or more, to turn away from the graft-ridden real estate criminal cartel, end the perdurable bribery of politicians and their sexual predations, foster responsible government and forgo revolving doors of games players, cancel the gross abuse of government subsidies for the ugliest buildings and overloaded and putrid infrastructure on earth (well, in the US).
NYC has become a slum everywhere, some supertall slick, much more filthy and gritty, all infected not just by Covid but by the disease of "if you can make it here you can make it anywhere," a Damn Yankee lie, as if publicity prattle was the whole town lingua franca.
Bike riding and greenery and historic preservation and affordable housing and homeless advocacy and low-rises are no where near thoughtful planning, and have become part of the feed trough, oink, oink, oink.
