Landlords Are Safety Hazards
Is That Stroller in the Hallway Really a Safety Hazard?

Not only strollers, also door mats, shoes, outdoor clothing, packages, flower pots, entrance doors not fully closed, and to these contractors' and maintenance staff's temporary protections, buckets, mops, debris, materials, lolling workers on break with a smoke, eats or a beer.
Building and housing maintenance codes require safe egress corridors, stairs, entrance doors, with emergency exit signs and lights. New stairs and exits also have luminescent tapes to guide crawlers to safe egress.Any interference with these measures is an invitation to disaster.
Keep fire hoses and cabinets clear. Do not use elevators for safe egress (unless in a highly-hazardous high-rise and supertall). Best is to have fire drills like those mandated for schools, panic and confusion can be eased with familiarity of how to behave in a crisis.
Tip: NYC is in an earthquake zone, though rare occurences, but architects and engineers are required to provide earthquake protection in designs for they do happen.
Tip 2: Fires are the top urban threat just below bad health and vehicles and shootings and corrupt politics, not to dare mention litigation, evictions, QAnon, your despicable neighbors.
Tip 3: Landlords want only your money, as much as possible, couldn't care less about your talents, desires, ambitions, hope to hell you know nothing about housing law, rent regulation, civil rights, democracy, privacy. Fervently believe NYC is made great by them, vote Trump back in.
