Fulani and Sliwa Never Mayor
When It Comes to Big City Elections, Republicans Are in the Wilderness

Lenora Fulani is way ahead of Curtis Sliwa in persistently pursuing public office no matter the odds against ever, ever winning except for those of us favoring certain-to-losers over ho-hum-shoo-ins.
Mr. Sliwa's signature dinky francine beret and mock-tough spiel may appeal to bottom-scraping die-hard counter-revolutionaries but Ms. Fulani's much more impressive costume, wondrous hair-do, melodiously defiant oration and balletic sweeping dismissal of boring as The-Naked-Cowboy pols is not to be under-rated for assuring comforting lose-lose expectations in couch-snoozing campaigns.
Happily, or miserably, both share capabilities to never coddle voters by telling them what they want to hear, instead masterfully, or mistressly, promise to never win an election and fail to do everything promised, nope, none of that treacle, pow, they nose punch, don't vote for me, vote for yourself by not voting at all, elections are a racketeer influenced organized crime, ignore them, don't believe a word you are told or you'll wind up with blowhard officials like us.
Enjoyable to watch, these two entertaining I Love Lucy/Marx Brothers emulators, as they endure the ridicule, relish being rejected, ignored, roasted on SNL, count pennies of grease instead of fossil fuel gushers of bribery. Dream of someday becoming as successful as Reverend Al at avoiding dreaded dutiful office-holding to only go so far as to endorse promiscuously whoever pays the most.
